NexGard Spectra — tablets for fleas, ticks and worms for dogs (1 tablet)

NexGard Spectra — a combined antiparasitic drug for dogs, which simultaneously works against external parasites (fleas, ixodid ticks, scabies mites) and internal parasites (gastrointestinal nematodes), and is also used as a prophylaxis of dirofilariasis when used monthly. The format is a tasty chewable tablet with a beef flavor, which most dogs eat without “tricks”.

Active ingredients and principle of action

Afoxolaner (isoxazoline) - insectoacaricide: blocks GABA-dependent receptors of arthropods - paralysis and death of fleas and ticks.

Milbemycin oxime (macrocyclic lactone) - endectocide: disrupts the transmission of nerve impulses in nematodes - paralysis and death of helminths.

treatment of gastrointestinal nematode infestation: toxocara/toxascaris, hookworm, trichuris

complex therapy of flea allergy dermatitis

prophylaxis of heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis, larvae) with monthly use

prophylaxis of angiostrongylosis (reduction of Angiostrongylus vasorum infection) with monthly use

treatment of demodicosis, sarcoptic mange, otodectosis

prophylaxis of thelazia (Thelazia callipaeda) with monthly use

Who is it suitable for

dogs from 8 weeks

minimum weight — from 1.35 kg (depends on the availability of the smallest dosage)

How to use

Orally, once, usually once a month

Can be given with food or separately — the tablet has a beef flavor

Make sure the dog swallows the dose completely

If vomiting occurs within 2 hours of administration — it is often recommended to repeat the administration at the same dose (according to instructions).

Important precautions

To prevent heartworm disease, it is advisable to first examine the dog: the drug does not destroy microfilariae.

Follow the regimen - skipping doses reduces effectiveness.
