Bravecto — antiparasitic chewable tablets for dogs against fleas and ticks (fluralaner), protection up to 12 weeks

Bravecto — systemic insectoacaricide in the format of a tasty chewable tablet for dogs. The drug provides long-term protection against fleas and ticks for a period of up to 12 weeks after a single application (provided the dose is correctly selected). Suitable for seasonal protection and for year-round prevention according to the scheme every 12 weeks.

Important: it is advisable to coordinate the appointment and selection of dosage with a veterinarian, especially if the dog has chronic gastrointestinal problems or has had reactions to drugs.

Active ingredient

Fluralaner is an insectoacaricide of the isoxazoline group.

Principle of action (short and clear)

Fluralaner blocks the receptors of the nervous system of arthropods (GABA- and glutamate-dependent), causing paralysis and death of parasites.

Indications for use

Bravecto is used in dogs for the prevention and treatment of:

infestations with ixodid ticks (Ixodes spp., Dermacentor spp., Rhipicephalus sanguineus, etc.)

infestations with fleas (Ctenocephalides felis, C. canis)

as part of complex therapy for flea allergy dermatitis

prevention of dipylidiosis (through control of fleas - vectors of Dipylidium caninum)

demodectic mange (Demodex canis)

otodectes cynotis

How to give Bravecto

Orally, during feeding or shortly before/after.

Therapeutic dose: 25–56 mg fluralaner / 1 kg body weight.

If the dog does not eat on its own, give it with food or force it into the mouth.

Do not break the tablet. Make sure that the dog has swallowed the dose completely.

Repeat treatment if necessary after 12 weeks.

Adverse reactions (possible, rare)

In isolated cases: vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite, drooling.

If vomiting occurs within 2 hours after administration - after vomiting stops, it is usually recommended to repeat the dose (in the same amount).
